Student Competition 2013 of the Siemens Foundation

The student competition of the Siemens Foundation addresses high school students as of grade 10. The foundation encourages them to develop innovative ideas as solutions for important human issues by means of mathematical-technical approaches. The topic of the competition 2012/13 was: ‚Stadt-Land-Fluss. Zukunftsplanung ist ein Muss’ (‚Urban-rural-and beyond. Planning the future of our environment’). The objective of this competition is to identify young researchers,  trigger their fascination in science and technology, and support them in their long-term endeavors.

The objective of this competition is to identify young researchers,  trigger their fascination in science and technology, and support them in their long-term endeavors.

The competition is organized by three technical universities: RWTH Aachen University, the Technical University Berlin, and the Technical University Munich. The three winning teams of each regional semi-final will participate in the finals in Berlin. Stipends of up to Euro 20,000 will be awarded to help finance the student winners’ future education at a university.
